Grow - Cook - Eat

Our research confirms what we suspected, that the diets of local children are not what they should be. It is hard for local families on low incomes to ensure that their children have fresh fruit, vegetables, vitamins and roughage that they need.

They eat too much fast food, too much sugar, the wrong fats and often, from the children’s point of view, too little of it. To make matters worse, robust outdoor play means even hungrier children relying on sugary packed lunches to keep them fuelled-up for play.

Having this in mind, we decided to launch the Grow - Cook - Eat initiative. The children design menus, cook, serve, eat and drink. at our Glamis Café. Parents can enjoy a coffee while sitting on the café veranda watching their children play.
